Green GIMBER Spritz

GIMBER's Green Spritz is a refreshing, vitamin-packed green spritz, perfect for fans of detox drinks. This mocktail combines the freshness of cucumber, the benefits of green juices (spinach, kiwi, apple) and the spicy warmth of GIMBER ginger. An elegant, sparkling and ultra-healthy non-alcoholic cocktail that revisits the classic spritz in a wellness version.

Ingredients

  • 1 small Persian cucumber (seedless) or ½ regular cucumber
  • 30 ml GIMBER N°1 Original
  • 175 ml green juice (spinach, cucumber, apple, kiwi, celery... as long as it's green!)
  • 60–80 ml sparkling water
  • Ice cubes (generous amount)

For decoration

  • 1 cucumber tip (ribbon or stick)
  • Optional: a few fresh spinach leaves, a slice of kiwi fruit

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cucumber: Cut the small Persian cucumber into pieces lengthwise. If using a regular cucumber, cut it into chunks and then into strips. Set aside a nice piece for decoration.
  2. Prepare the shaker: Pour 30 ml of GIMBER N°1 Original and 175 ml of green juice (choose your favourite combination: spinach-apple-cucumber, kiwi-celery, or a commercial green juice) into a shaker.
  3. Add the cucumber and ice: Add the cucumber pieces and a generous handful of ice cubes to the shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously: Close the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds to cool and mix all the ingredients, while extracting the aromas from the cucumber.
  5. Strain into the glass: Fill a large wine glass or highball glass with fresh ice cubes. Pour the contents of the shaker through a fine strainer to filter out the cucumber pieces and crushed ice.
  6. Add sparkling water: Gently top up with 60–80 ml of sparkling water to give the spritz its characteristic fizz.
  7. Garnish and serve: Garnish with an elegant cucumber twist (ribbon or stick), and possibly a slice of kiwi or a few fresh spinach leaves to accentuate the green aspect.

  • Choosing the green juice:
    • Fresh option: Put spinach + Granny Smith apple + cucumber + kiwi + celery through a juicer.
    • Quick option: Use a commercial organic green juice (from the fresh produce section).
    • Tip: Always add a sweet fruit (apple, kiwi) to balance the bitterness of the green vegetables.
  • Persian cucumber: This small, seedless cucumber is sweeter and less watery than the classic cucumber. If you can't find one, use a classic cucumber with the seeds removed.
  • Perfect temperature: Use a well-chilled shaker and plenty of ice for an ultra-refreshing spritz.
  • Ginger intensity: Adjust the amount of GIMBER to your taste (25–35 ml). You can also substitute GIMBER Brut according to your preferences.
  • Milder version: If the green juice is too intense, add 20 ml of agave syrup or liquid honey.
  • Presentation: The cucumber ribbon is made by running a vegetable peeler along the length of the cucumber to create thin decorative strips.
